Why Pay For A Subscription To Auction Listing Sites?

In their search for auction bargains around the Internet some will more than likely stumble across various auction listings sites that charge a subscription fee. Theyll wonder Why do I need to pay for something that I can probably find for free else ware? Well the truth is pretty simple.

Its a very common adage that you get what you pay for. Online youll probably come across a few pay sites and a few free sites. Whats the difference? In a word quality.

There are reasons why the sites are free. Some will have out of date listings that are frequently neglected. On top of that these same listings may not be all that well organized or easily searched to find what you want in your area and in your price range. Others will be loaded with advertisements and then try to force these on you through required email signups and spam or popup/popunder ads. Some sites are just outright scams meant to take your money or information. Any one of these or a combination of such may be found on these free sites.

So how about those pay sites? Are they any better? More often than not yes. Just because you have to pay to get access still doesnt guarantee quality. This is where youll have to be careful with who you choose to sign up for. But as for how they are better well just take the negatives of the free sites and reverse them. Auction sites that you pay for will usually have up to date listings cleaned and organized for simple searching. These sites will also make it easier to search for auction deals locally in your area. Advertisement spam will not be a problem. They might send you offers through email but theyll have the option to optout of those emails by unsubscribing.

I know the idea of signing up for auction listings and paying a fee for it sounds pointless and almost wasteful but in the grand scheme of things it isnt. If youre searching for a used car youll save tons of money by going to a local car auction. The fee for these auction sites is pretty low at around 30 give or take a few dollars for a month. So all that subscription fee was a paltry sum when you consider it helped you find a great car at a local auction and in the end saved you tons of money.

So which sites are good and trustworthy? Well Ive documented a few of them at a site Ive built. Ive also posted some great information Ive found in my research of used car auctions which can help you better find a car you want.
