Why 12 And 15 Passenger Vans Are Unsafe

Driving 15passenger vans take much more training than a shuttle bus. According to the National Transportation Safety Board on July 15th they determined that 15passenger vans are unstable when loaded with 10 or more people.

It is recommended by the NTSB that drivers of 15passenger vans require more training and testing. The fact is these vans handle different than cars and require a higher skill level.

The reason why this has become an issue is because of the passenger vans latest track records. In 2001 the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that these vans with 10 or more passengers are three times as likely to roll than a van with less than 10 passengers.

One report in 2002 released by the NTSB proved that 52 of 15passenger vans involved in singlevehicle fatal accidents from 19912000 rolled over. Under the same conditions cars rolled over only 33 percent of the time.

This data has prompted many churches to switch from passenger vans to shuttle buses and has even led many bus companies that specialize in 15passenger vans sales toward churches to halt their sales and sell safer vehicles.

One such company in Tennessee who once provided many churches with 15passenger vans has been phasing them out for years. Instead of selling them as passenger vans the seats have been taken out and they were sold as delivery or cargo vans. This company now sells commercial buses which most often require CDL licenses. Buses are far less likely to roll compared to 15passenger vans.

These vans were never really designed to be passenger vans. Their original purpose was for cargo as a cheaper alternative. People are not cargo and deserve safer transportation.

The commercial bus is the safer more comfortable alternative to the 15passenger van. Passengers enter the bus and walk down an aisle instead of finagle their way into a passenger van. Passengers can even have the options of reading lights and overhead storage which provide more room for luggage and leave passengers in good thought rather than cramped thoughts and safety concerns.

A new commercial bus that seats 15 will range from 4000060000. CR Buses provides new and used buses that range in prices much lower than the national average. Our buses are available in gas and diesel which gives buyers more options. 15Passenger vans are available with gas engines.

By purchasing one good used shuttle bus you can replace two 15 passenger vans and provide a much safer ride for your passengers.

Mazda Van Service

Mazda van servicing is now much cheaper for those in the know.

Thanks to European legislation you no longer have to be tied to high Mazda van service costs dictated by your local dealer.

In October 2003 new European legislation affecting the motor industry came into force called “Block Exemption Regulation” 14002002 BER and this now means that you can book your next Mazda van service online and save up to 50 on what you might pay at your local Mazda van dealer.

Before the law changed it was difficult to have new vans within their warranty period serviced outside a franchised dealer. If you wanted to shop around for the best prices on Mazda van servicing your hands were tied.

The change in the law now gives every van owner the freedom to service their van away from the main dealers and still have their warranty protected.

Thousands of Mazda van owners have now taken advantage of their new right and reduced their Mazda van serving costs whilst benefiting from the convenience of booking with national car service providers such as Service A Van.

Service A Van is a leading online van servicing network that prides itself on the quality of its Mazda van servicing their customer service and transparent pricing. Because the company is not tied to any particular van manufacturer they are able to service any make of vehicle and compete freely in the market on a likeforlike.

Every vehicle is rigorously serviced according to the manufacturers servicing schedule using genuine recommended parts fitted by qualified technicians. This means that every Mazda van service fulfils the warranty criteria and there is no compromise on the servicing standards of a main dealer.

Companies like Service A Van who fulfil the warranty criteria when servicing your Mazda are able to maintain your service book just as main dealer can thereby protecting your warranty and helping you to maximise the resale value of your Mazda van.

Of course booking direct with a national car servicing network has its own advantages:
You no longer have to do all the running around. Service A Van collects your Mazda in the morning and delivers it back that afternoon free of charge
You pay a fixed Mazda service price which can be up to 50 below the price at the Mazda servicing desk of your local dealer
No additional work is carried out without your agreement which means no nasty surprises when it comes to paying the bill
Trained Customer Advisers are on hand throughout the day to keep you informed of progress and report back on problems you asked to be investigated as part of your Mazda service e.g. knocks and rattles
You simply pay with your credit or debit card and your van is delivered back to your home or work address.

Our advice for saving money on Mazda van servicing is to contact a national car servicing network who is not tied to any one particular van manufacturer like Service A Van.

So before you book your next Mazda van service why not ask your local dealer to tell you the cost of the service plus parts oil and any extras and then compare it with a fixed price quote from a national servicing network like Service A Van?

Happy motoring

Lose That Fear Of Driving

The fear of driving affects people in many different ways. Some people manage to get their drivers license and drive for many years without any problems only to develop a fear of certain aspects of driving or for some people it affects them in the beginning so badly that they are unable to drive at all.

If you suffer from any fear of driving it is important to understand that it is an anxiety related condition that needs to be treated exactly the same as any other phobia. If your symptoms are relatively mild it is essential that you take action as soon as possible as your condition can worsen to the point where you are completely unable to even get in to a vehicle. With travel essential to everyday life this situation would not be good.

Before you seek professional help with this matter you should do a few tests on your own to discover techniques to gradually learn to control how your body reacts to the stress caused by your situation. By learning what causes your fears you can slowly eliminate them.

One main fear I had myself was that I was going to the curb or the car behind me when I was parallel parking. I got over this with a little practice and also with the help of a few cones. Always practice driving in an empty parking lot so that you do not damage other cars and give them dents. No one wants to do paintless dent repair when they don’t have to.
Another fear I had was driving through narrow streets. I got over this by driving slowly and paying attention to my side mirrors every few seconds to assure myself that I was not getting to close to one side. Other common fears for beginning drivers are: speeding cars driving on the highway difficult weather conditions and semi trucks. All these fears can be eliminated with a bit of practice and experience. Happy driving.
